Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- minced parsley - 1 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 lb
- bay leaves - 2 item
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- shredded Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- cottage or Ricotta cheese - 3/4 lb
- or 8 oz - 1/2 pkg
How to make lasagna:
Brown meats, in oil in a large frypan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add garlic, tomato paste, water, onion, bay leaves, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix well. Cover and simmer 1 hour over low heat, stirring occasionally.Cook lasagna noodles until tender. Grease a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Cover bottom of dish with 1/3 of noodles; top with 1/3 of sauce and cheeses. Repeat. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese and pour tomato sauce over the top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 15 to 20 minutes.
