Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 3/4 1
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- dried oregano, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- snipped parsley - 3 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- soft bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- onion - 2 Tbsp
- can undrained tomatoes - 1 oz
- Meatballs:1 egg
How to make spaghetti and meatballs:
Meatballs:1 egg1/4 c. milk2 Tbsp. onion1/4 c. Parmesan cheese3 Tbsp. snipped parsley3/4 tsp. salt dash of pepper1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed1 lb. ground beef3/4 c. soft bread crumbs Sauce: In heavy saucepan, cook chopped onion and garlic (mashed) in oil until crisp-tender, but not brown. Drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes (cut up), and tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, oregano, pepper and bay leaf. Simmer, uncovered; stir occasionally for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti. Pass Parmesan cheese.Meatballs: In bowl combine beaten egg and milk. Stir in bread crumbs, onion, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, oregano and pepper. Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into meatballs. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
