Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt
  • water - 2 c
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • basil - 1 Tbsp
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 lb
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • tomatoes - 2 c
  • cartons large curd cottage cheese - 2 oz

How to make lasagna:

Brown meat slowly, add garlic, parsley flakes, basil, salt, tomatoes, water and tomato paste to drained meat. Simmer, uncovered, until thick, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cook noodles until tender and drain. Rinse with cold water. Combine cottage cheese with eggs, pepper and Parmesan cheese. Place layer of noodles on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish. Spread some cheese mix over noodles, then layer of meat, then some Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers until used up. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
