Ingredients/Components
- salt
- vinegar - 1 qt
- alum - 1 item
- garlic clove - 1 item
- dill weed - 1 item
- rain water - 5 qt
How to make kosher dill pickles:
Boil water, vinegar and salt. Pour over jars filled with cucumbers. Add dill and 1 clove garlic (while hot). Add alum, size of a butter bean, to each quart jar. Seal and process in hot water bath at least 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
