Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- large egg whites - 3 item
- fresh lime juice - 1/2 c
- large egg yolks - 3 item
- 9-inch baked pie crust - 1 item
How to make key lime pie:
Combine condensed milk and lime juice in medium-size bowl. Blend in egg yolks; turn into cooled crust. Heat oven to 325°. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar in small bowl until soft peaks form. Beat in sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until egg whites form stiff, glossy peaks. Spoon over filling. Spread to edge of crust to seal. Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
