Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- whipping cream - 1/2 pt
- lime juice - 3/4 c
- graham cracker pie crust - 1 item
- cans Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk - 2 oz
- Topping: whipping cream
How to make key lime pie:
Topping: whipping cream1 1/2 tsp. sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla Separate eggs (save whites for another use). Beat yolks at high speed with electric mixer until stiff and lemon yellow. Add condensed milk, blending thoroughly. Slowly add lime juice, mixing well and scraping the bottom and sides of bowl. Spoon mixture in pie crust and place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. When ready to serve the pie, make topping. Beat cream until stiff; add sugar and vanilla. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
