Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- can kidney red beans - 1 item
- big bunch fresh kale, cleaned well - 1 item
- linguica, cut in small slices
- or 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks - 4 item
- head cabbage, cut if desired - 1/2 item
How to make kale soup:
Melt butter or margarine in large pot. Add linguica and fry up, then add half pot of water. Add potatoes; cook on high heat until boiling, then add beans, cabbage, kale, salt and pepper. Add some ketchup for color. Cook on medium heat until potatoes and soup are done, about 20 minutes, then turn to low and simmer.Recipe categories: Low cholesterol, Low calorie, Soups & stews.
