Johnny cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 1 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• oleo - 1/2 c
• cornmeal - 3 c
• sour milk - 2 c
• or 2 eggs - 1 item

How to make johnny cake:

Cream the sugar, oleo and eggs. Add the soda to the sour milk and then add to the first mixture. Add dry ingredients. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 400° until brown and the edges are pulled away from the pan (about 30 to 40 minutes).
