Italian herb bread
Ingredients/Components
- water
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- flour or bread flour - 3 3
- active dry yeast - 1 pkg
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soft butter
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- seasoned salt - 1 tsp
- chives - 1 Tbsp
How to make italian herb bread:
Herb Butter:1/4 c. soft butter1 tsp. garlic powder2 Tbsp. parsley flakes1 tsp. seasoned salt1 Tbsp. chives Herb Butter: Combine and spread on bread.Preheat oven to 375°. In small bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Heat water and oil to 120°. Add to flour mixture and beat for 3 minutes or mix with dough maker on Number #10. Gradually add remaining flour to form a stiff dough. Knead until smooth and satiny. Place in a greased bowl; cover. Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down; roll out into 15 x 18-inch rectangle. Spread with Herb Butter. Roll up jelly-roll style. Pinch edges to seal. Place on baking sheet. Slash top diagonally several times. Cover; let rise until double. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake 20 minutes more.
