Hot turkey salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- grated onion - 2 tsp
- cubed celery - 2 c
- crushed potato chips - 1 c
- chopped almonds - 1/2 c
- grated American cheese - 1/2 c
- cooked, chopped turkey - 2 c
How to make hot turkey salad:
Combine ingredients, except cheese and potato chips. Toss lightly. Pile lightly into casserole. Sprinkle with cheese and potato chips and bake in hot 450° oven for 10 minutes.Chicken may be used instead of turkey.
This is a favorite of mine from the Myrtle and Helen Ritchey files. I ate many delicious meals at their home. I was family to them.
