  • 25 oz - 1 18
  • cup oil - 1/3 item
  • eggs - 2 item
  • pkg - 1 12
  • cup while vanilla chips - 1 item
  • 4 oz - 3 1
  • cup butter or margarine - 1/2 item
  • vanilla caramels, unwrapped - 32 item
  • can sweetened condensed milk not evaporated - 1 14

How to make heath bar dessert:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. In large bowl, combine cake mix, oil and eggs; blend well. Stir in chocolate chips, white vanilla chips, and Heath bar pieces. (Mixture will be thick.) Press half of mixture in bottom of greased pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine butter, caramels and sweetened condensed milk. Cook over medium-low heat until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth, stirring occasionally. (Be careful not to scorch caramels.) Slowly pour caramel mixture evenly over partially baked crust. To with remaining cake mixture. Return to oven and bake an additional 25-30 minutes until to is set and edges are deep golden brown. Cool 20 minutes. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen bars. Cool 40 minutes. Refrigerate 1 hour. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator. Makes 24 bars.
