Harvest apple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- apples - 6 item
- red cinnamon candies red hots - 1/4 c
- frozen crusts - 2 item
How to make harvest apple pie:
Pare apples and slice thin in large bowl. Combine the sugar, cornstarch, spices and salt; mix with apples. Scatter the red hots over the mixture; dot with butter. Put on top pastry; prick holes in top of the crust. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes. Reduce heat to 300° and bake 15 minutes more.
