Gumdrop cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• flour
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• soda - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• raisins - 1/2 lb
• hot water - 1/2 c
• cloves - 1/4 tsp
• applesauce - 3/4 c
• small spice gumdrops - 1/2 lb

How to make gumdrop cake:

Cream shortening. Add sugar slowly. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Cut gumdrops in small pieces. Mix with raisins and nuts. Use a small portion of dry ingredients that you have mixed all together. Mix applesauce with water and add with the dry ingredients. Then mix real good. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 90 minutes.
