Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- shortening
- ginger - 3 tsp
- sifted flour - 4 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- dark molasses - 1 c
How to make gingersnaps:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Add molasses and sifted dry ingredients. Roll into 1-inch balls. Dip in sugar. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in moderate oven (375°) for 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
