  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • granulated sugar - 1 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 4 tsp
  • shortening
  • molasses - 1/2 c
  • ginger - 2 tsp
  • cloves - 1 tsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Mix shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses. Blend in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar. Cover; chill overnight. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place balls sugar side up. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes.
