Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- granulated sugar - 1 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 4 tsp
- shortening
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 2 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
How to make gingersnaps:
Mix shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses. Blend in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar. Cover; chill overnight. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place balls sugar side up. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
