  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • beaten egg - 1 item
  • cloves - 1 tsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Preheat oven to 375°. Cream the shortening and sugar, then add molasses and egg. Mix well, then add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Roll into balls and roll in sugar.
