German chocolate caramel bars
Ingredients/Components
- evaporated milk - 1/3 c
- chocolate chips - 1 item
- Kraft caramels - 1 pkg
- melted butter or margarine - 2/3 c
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
How to make german chocolate caramel bars:
Mix German chocolate cake mix with evaporated milk and melted butter. Pat 2/3 in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan that has been sprayed with nonstick spray on the bottom only. Bake for 6 minutes in a 350° oven. Melt caramels with evaporated milk on low heat. Sprinkle desired amount of chocolate chips on cake mix when removed from oven. Spread caramel mixture over chips.
