Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 2/3 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • cocoa - 6 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • pecans - 1/2 c
  • melted shortening - 2 Tbsp

How to make fudge pudding cake:

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa. Add milk, shortening and vanilla. Mix only until smooth. Add pecans. Put in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.

Mix brown sugar and remaining 4 tablespoons of cocoa and sprinkle over mixture in pan. Pour 1 1/2 cups of boiling water over top. Bake in a 350° oven for 40 minutes.
