Fudge pudding cake
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- unsweetened cocoa - 8 Tbsp
- oleo, melted - 2 Tbsp
- whipped cream optional - 1 item
- confectioners sugar optional - 1 item
How to make fudge pudding cake:
In bowl, combine oleo, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and vanilla. Mix flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt and add alternately to first mixture, stirring until well blended. Add nuts.In a shallow, 1 1/2 quart baking dish, combine remaining granulated sugar, cocoa, salt and boiling water (may need a little extra water). Drop batter by tablespoons into boiling mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. While still warm, spoon out cake and cover with sauce. Top with whipped cream.
