Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • unsweetened cocoa - 8 Tbsp
  • oleo, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • whipped cream optional - 1 item
  • confectioners sugar optional - 1 item

How to make fudge pudding cake:

In bowl, combine oleo, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and vanilla. Mix flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt and add alternately to first mixture, stirring until well blended. Add nuts.

In a shallow, 1 1/2 quart baking dish, combine remaining granulated sugar, cocoa, salt and boiling water (may need a little extra water). Drop batter by tablespoons into boiling mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. While still warm, spoon out cake and cover with sauce. Top with whipped cream.
