Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- rum - 1 c
- orange juice - 1 c
- walnuts - 1 c
- candied fruit - 2 lb
- nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves - 1 tsp
- raisins and currants, boiled in 2 c - 1 c
How to make fruit cake:
Place all ingredients in order in a large bowl. Be sure to include any water left in the raisins and currants after boiling. Mix with a medium beater until well mixed. Bake at 350° in a greased ring pan or 2 to 3 loaf pans.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
