Frosted cashew cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- dairy sour cream - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 3/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour - 2 c
- cashew nuts - 1 item
- coffee cream - 3 Tbsp
- salted cashews
How to make frosted cashew cookies:
Golden Frosting:1/2 c. butter3 Tbsp. coffee cream1/4 tsp. vanilla2 c. confectioners sugar cashew nuts Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream; mix well. Carefully fold in cashew nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Cool and frost with Golden Frosting.Golden Frosting: Lightly brown butter; remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and cream. Add the sugar and beat until smooth to spread on cookies.
