Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • ground nuts optional - 1 c
  • oleo/margarine melted - 1/4 lb
  • crushed rice Chex or Crispix cereal
  • ice cream, any flavor - 1/2 gal

How to make fried ice cream:

Mix all ingredients except ice cream. Use a fork to mix. Put the mix on a cookie sheet spread it out. Set oven on about 350°. Put cookie sheet in the oven for about 3 to 5 minutes or until it bubbles. Take it out of oven, put part of the mix on the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Then take the half gallon of ice cream, cut it into slices and put it on top of the mix; spread it even. Put the rest of the mix on top. Put it in the freezer. Best if in freezer for at least 1 hour. Enjoy.
