Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking soda
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- salad oil
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- pecans, coarsely chopped - 1 c
- finely chopped pears - 3 c
How to make fresh pear cake:
Sift together sugar, flour, soda, salt and spices. Add eggs, vanilla and salad oil and mix very slowly. Add nuts and pears and mix in slowly. Bake in greased and floured tube pan in 350° oven until golden brown, at least 1 1/2 hours. Cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
