Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 3/4 c
- oil
- soda - 1 tsp
- packed coconut - 1 c
- brown sugar, pressed down - 1/2 c
- diced chopped fresh apples - 2 c
- Sift dry ingredients flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; then put with first mixture
How to make fresh apple cake:
Beat sugar, eggs and oil with electric mixer until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients (flour, soda, salt and cinnamon); then put with first mixture. Add vanilla, pecans, apples and coconut. Mix into first mixture by hand and pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Topping:1/2 c. white sugar1/2 c. brown sugar, pressed down3 1/2 Tbsp. flour3/4 c. water Mix sugars and flour together in a saucepan. Add water, stirring over medium heat. Let boil until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add 1/2 stick butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over cake while still warm, but not hot.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
