Fresh apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil
- soda - 1 to
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- box powdered sugar - 1/2 item
- apples, chopped - 4 c
- Icing:1/2 stick butter
How to make fresh apple cake:
Combine the ingredients and bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a greased and floured Bundt pan or angel food cake pan.Icing:1/2 stick butter1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. lemon juice1/2 box powdered sugar Melt in a saucepan. Mix well and bring to a rolling boil. Dribble all this over warm cake and punch holes in cake with icepick to allow this to run down into cake. If icing on top of cake is desired, make this mixture again and pour on top.In loving memory of Virginia Gertrude Spencer.
