Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- nutmeg - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- cloves - 3/4 tsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- fig preserves - 1 c
- Gradually add oil and beat well
How to make fig preserve cake:
Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda and spices. Gradually add oil and beat well. Add figs, nuts and vanilla. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°. Pour sauce over cake while still warm.Sauce:1/2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. corn syRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
