Easy strudel
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1/4 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- margarine - 1/2 lb
- graham crackers, crushed fine - 4 item
- Divide into 2 balls; chill, covered, in plastic wrap, 2 to 3 hours
How to make easy strudel:
Mix all ingredients together. Divide into 2 balls; chill, covered, in plastic wrap, 2 to 3 hours. Make 2 strudels. Roll out each part as thin as pie crust on floured surface into a rectangle. Spread half of filling on dough. Roll up as in a jelly roll. Do the same with other half. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 30 minutes. Cool. When serving, cut and sprinkle with powdered sugar.Filling:7 apples, pared and grated2 Tbsp. sugar4 graham crackers, crushed fine1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional) Mix all ingredients together and spread over strudel dough.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, Tarts.
