Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- flour - 1 item
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- cake yeast - 1 item
- sweet milk - 2 c
How to make doughnuts:
Heat milk until lukewarm. Add sugar and dissolve yeast cake. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon salt and shortening. Mix as for rolls adding enough flour to make firm dough. For best results, let stand in icebox overnight. Roll out on floured board. Place on wax paper or cookie sheet to rise. Fry in deep fat.Recipe categories: Breads, Grains, Pasta, rice and grains.
