- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- cake yeast - 1 item
- lukewarm water - 2 Tbsp
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in water. In bowl, sift flour with other dry ingredients. Cut in shortening; add buttermilk, then yeast. Stir until flour is dampened. Knead on floured board 1/2 minute.
