Deli-style cole slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- fresh ground pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium head cabbage, thinly sliced or shredded - 1 item
- to 3 carrots, sliced in food processor or grated - 2 item
How to make deli-style cole slaw:
Prepare cabbage and carrots. Mix together in a large stock pot. (It will reduce in size after dressing is added.) Mix mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice and salt together in a small bowl. Toss dressing with cabbage mixture until well coated. Add pepper to taste. Let set about 15 minutes until wilted. Makes about 2 quarts.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Greens.
