Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- stick margarine - 3/4 item
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- nuts
- dates - 16 oz
How to make date nut cake:
Cream margarine, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Roll nuts and dates in flour mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to other ingredients. Put in greased loaf pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour. Serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
