Creamed chicken
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/3 c
- diced pimento - 2 oz
- chicken broth - 2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- boiled eggs, chopped - 3 item
- cooked chicken, chopped - 2 c
How to make creamed chicken:
Mix flour with small amount of milk to make a thick paste. Mix together broth, milk and soup. Heat and stir in paste. Cook on medium heat, stirring often, until thick. Add pimento, chicken and eggs. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve over crisp chow mein noodles.From my mother, Bea Benton (Sampson Co., North Carolina).
