Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
How to make cream pie filling:
Blend together half the sugar, flour and salt. Stir slowly into hot milk and cook until thick. Add yolks, beaten with remainder of mixture and cook 1 minute longer. Remove from fire and stir in the butter and vanilla. When cool, you may add fruit or coconut. Banana and strawberry are our favorites.
