Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • butter - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 2 item

How to make cream pie filling:

Blend together half the sugar, flour and salt. Stir slowly into hot milk and cook until thick. Add yolks, beaten with remainder of mixture and cook 1 minute longer. Remove from fire and stir in the butter and vanilla. When cool, you may add fruit or coconut. Banana and strawberry are our favorites. Pour into a baked pie shell.
