Cranberry orange bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- grated rind of 1 orange
- cranberries, chopped - 1 c
How to make cranberry orange bread:
Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Add orange rind; mix. Combine orange juice, egg and salad oil. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until flour is moistened. Fold in cranberries. Spread in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes or less. Yield: 1 loaf.Note: May bake in two small loaf pans for 35 to 45 minutes. Test.
