Cranberry casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- chopped nuts - 1/3 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- quick oatmeal uncooked
- whole fresh cranberries - 2 c
- tart apples, chopped unpeeled - 3 c
How to make cranberry casserole:
Topping:1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal (uncooked)1/2 c. brown sugar1/3 c. flour1/3 c. chopped nuts1/2 c. margarine Mix apples, cranberries and sugar and set aside.Melt margarine. Add other topping ingredients. Mix well. Pour this mixture over apples and cranberries. Bake 1 hour in 350° oven. If apples are not juicy, add 1/2 cup water. Bake in long flat casserole dish, covered. Serve with ham or turkey, also my family likes it with ice cream as a dessert.
