Country potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 qt
- all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- celery stalks, diced - 6 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced - 6 item
How to make country potato soup:
In a large pot, cook potatoes, celery and carrots in water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain; reserve liquid and set vegetables aside. In the same pot, saute onions in butter until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk. Stir constantly until thick. Stir in cooked vegetables.
