Corn salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- can French-style green beans - 1 item
- small jar pimento, chopped - 1 item
- 2 cans Shoe Peg corn
- can English peas small size peas - 1 item
How to make corn salad:
Dump all vegetables in colander and drain. Mix in saucepan sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, pepper and celery seed. Cook until sugar melts. Put vegetables in large bowl. Pour vinegar mixture over vegetables. Best after it has been in refrigerator 24 hours.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Vegetables, Corn.
