Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- melted shortening - 1 Tbsp
- cooked whole kernel corn
- oil, heated for deep fat frying - 1 item
How to make corn fritters:
Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Beat eggs with milk. Add melted shortening and corn. Combine 2 mixtures lightly. Drop by tablespoon into shallow oil. Fry until brown and cooked in center, about 4 to 5 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Corn.
