- water - 1 c
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- bacon drippings - 1 Tbsp
- medium cabbage head - 1 item
How to make cooked cabbage:
Cut cabbage in large pieces, stalk and all. Put in 4-quart cooker. Add bacon grease, salt, pepper and water. Cook until done, adding more water if necessary.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
