Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder
- can cherry pie filling - 1 item
- margarine - 1 c
- almond - 1/2 tsp
- white sugar
How to make coffee cake:
Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs, 2 at a time. Add vanilla, almond, flour, salt and baking powder. Reserve 1 cup batter. Spread remaining batter in greased jellyroll pan. Drop 1 can cherry pie filling over batter. Dollop remaining batter over pie filling here and there. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze. Freezes well.
