- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- carton sour cream - 1 (16
- Cool Whip - 1 item
- frozen coconut, thawed - 6 oz
- box Duncan Hines white moist deluxe cake mix - 1 item
How to make coconut cake:
Mix cake mix and bake according to directions. Let cool. Split layers when completely cool. Mix sour cream, sugar and flavoring. Save 1/2 cup of mixture for icing.Put mixture on layers as you stack them. Put in refrigerator for a few hours or next day. Take the 1/2 cup of mixture and put 8 ounces of Cool Whip with it. Spread on cake. Sprinkle with 6 ounces frozen coconut, thawed.
