- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- pkg - 1 oz
- baking powder
- white sugar
- butter or oleo - 1/2 c
- cake flour, sifted
- pecans, chopped fine - 1/2 c
- whole pecan halves - 1 item
- whole red cherries - 1 item
How to make christmas cake:
Blend the softened cream cheese, oleo, sugar and vanilla; add eggs 1 at a time, beating thoroughly after each one. Add 2 cups flour with baking powder added. Combine cherries and nuts with 1/4 cup flour and fold into batter. Grease a tube pan; sprinkle the finely chopped nuts and pour in batter. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
