Ingredients/Components
- carrots - 4 lb
- stalks celery - 3 item
- string beans 3 green, 3 yellow - 6 qt
- cans kidney beans - 2 1/2
- lima beans - 3 qt
- chopped peppers red and yellow - 6 qt
- small onions - 5 lb
- heads cauliflower - 5 item
- small sweet pickles already prepared - 4 qt
- Season with salt; cook separately until tender and drain
- sugar - 10 lb
- turmeric optional - 2 Tbsp
- pickling spice - 4 Tbsp
How to make chow:
Clean, cut and prepare into bite sized pieces. Season with salt; cook separately until tender and drain.Syrup:12 c. vinegar10 lb. sugar2 Tbsp. turmeric (optional)4 Tbsp. pickling spice Bring to a boil; add vegetables and bring to a boil.
