Chocolate star cookies

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 1 tsp
• granulated sugar - 1/2 c
• milk - 2 Tbsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1/2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• peanut butter - 1/2 c
• chocolate stars - 4 doz

How to make chocolate star cookies:

Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Add flour, soda and salt. Add egg, milk and vanilla; stir well. Shape into balls the size of a walnut. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from oven; place chocolate star on top of each cookie and press down. Bake for 2 to 5 minutes longer. Yields 4 dozen.
