Chocolate star cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 2 Tbsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1/2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• peanut butter - 1/2 c
• bag chocolate stars - 9 oz

How to make chocolate star cookies:

Sift dry ingredients together. Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars until smooth. Add egg, milk and vanilla to shortening mixture; blend well. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for eight minutes at 375°. Take out of oven, press chocolate stars in center of cookies and bake for another 2 minutes.
