Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • milk - 6 tsp
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
  • Set aside
  • all vegetable cooking oil - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate sheath cake:

Sift together the sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon. Set aside. In a saucepan, place the water, margarine, oil and cocoa. Bring to boil and pour over dry ingredients. Mix well. Set aside. Mix buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Add to chocolate batter. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Start Chocolate Sheath Cake frosting about 5 minutes before cake is done and frost in pan.Frosting:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 tsp. milk1 lb. box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans Heat milk and margarine. Add cocoa and sugar. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Frost Chocolate Sheath Cake.
