- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Sift together 3 times the flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Mix well. Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
