Ingredients/Components

  • margarine - 1 c
  • sq - 6 oz
  • flaked coconut - 1 c
  • graham cracker crumbs
  • chopped unsalted peanuts - 1/2 c
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make chocolate peanut squares:

Microwave 3/4 cup margarine and 2 ounces of chocolate squares on High for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted when stirred, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir in crumbs, coconut and peanuts. Press onto bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Chill 30 minutes.

Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until well blended. Spread over crust; chill 30 minutes. Microwave remaining margarine and chocolate squares on High for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted when stirred, stirring every 30 seconds. Spread over cream cheese layer. Chill; cut into squares. Makes 4 dozen. Prep. Time: 30 minutes plus chilling.
