Chocolate marshmallow bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- peanut butter - 1 c
- miniature marshmallows - 4 c
- 8 oz
- crisp rice cereal - 2 c
- baking cocoa - 3 Tbsp
How to make chocolate marshmallow bars:
Topping:1 1/3 c. (8 oz.) chocolate chips3 Tbsp. butter or margarine1 c. peanut butter2 c. crisp rice cereal In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over cake; return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Spread melted marshmallows over cake. Cool.For topping, combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and blended. Remove from heat; stir in cereal. Spread over bars.
