vanilla - 1 tsp
milk - 1/2 c
salt - 1/4 tsp
flour - 2 c
brown sugar - 1 c
soda - 1/2 tsp
egg - 1 item
shortening - 1/2 c
chopped nuts optional - 1 item
chocolate, melted or 6 Tbsp - 2 sq

How to make chocolate drop cookies:

Mix the brown sugar, shortening and egg together. Cream well. If using melted chocolate, add it now. Add dry ingredients (sifted together) alternately with the milk. Add the vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at
